
Mario is a Digital Imaging Technician and colorist from Santander, Spain, currently based in Madrid. He works across feature films, series, documentaries, and commercial projects for international platforms.
He began his career in fiction with Diecisiete (2019), directed by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, followed by Ocho Apellidos Marroquís (2023) by Álvaro F. Armero. His recent feature film credits include Deep Water, directed by Renny Harlin and starring Aaron Eckhart and Sir Ben Kingsley, and La Fiera (2026), directed by Salvador Calvo and photographed by Ángel Iguácel.
As a DIT, Mario has worked on projects such as Rubius X (Prime Video), La Chica de Nieve — Season 2 (Netflix), and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — Seasons 3 & 4, directed by Dan Percival, Michael Slovis, and Michael Offer, and photographed by Jan Richter-Friis DFF, Steve Lawes, and Pau Esteve Birba AEC.
He has also led second unit cinematography on Asalto al Banco Central (Netflix), La Increíble Historia de Julia Pastrana (Disney+), and the documentary Nunca es Tarde, directed by Emilio Aragón and Norberto López Aguado.
Alongside narrative work, Mario collaborates in advertising and music videos, including the visual album Donde Quiero Estar by Quevedo and TURO – Technicolor Dreams.
He has worked internationally in the Canary Islands, Sweden, Iceland, and Scotland, collaborating with platforms such as Netflix, AMC, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and Movistar+.
